This cold start cartridge is constructed of high quality plastic with a ceramic disc. This is a mixing cartridge which means it has hot and cold inputs and mixes the water based on the position of the mixing lever. A cold start cartridge is designed to help conserve energy by only activating the flow of cold water when the handle is in its default position.This cartridge can be used in various Isenberg single hole, kitchen and lavatory faucets.
